Today, we’re speaking with Sheldon MacLeod, the Assistant Vice-President and Registrar at Crandall University in Canada. He is also the President of the Atlantic Association of Registrars and Admissions Officers, representing all the enrolment professionals at universities of the Canadian Atlantic. About Sheldon MacLeod
Sheldon MacLeod is an eighteen year veteran of assisting people and organizations as they navigate the significant moments of their lives. Having moved from the world of small business, to pastoral ministry, to post-secondary leadership, Sheldon brings a wide perspective on the issues of faith, transition, and education, and their effects on individuals, institutions, and culture.
Sheldon is the President of the Atlantic Association of Registrars and Admissions Officers (AARAO), which is the regional body for post-secondary enrolment professionals from the over thirty colleges and universities within Atlantic Canada. He is also the Vice-Chairperson for the New Brunswick Council on Articulations and Transfers, Contact Persons Committee. He recently co-presented a seminar on at the National Conference on Student Recruitment, Marketing, and Retention. Sheldon also serves in student ministries at his local church, on his local High School Parent School Support Committee, and is the newly elected chairperson of the Greater Moncton Mayors Prayer Breakfast.
Sheldon currently serves as the Assistant Vice-President (Student & Enrolment Services) & Registrar at Crandall University. Having served this institution in progressive roles for over a decade, he now gives strategic oversight to the areas of student services, campus and residence life, athletics, the office of registrar, recruitment, and admissions. With the President, Sheldon also co-chairs the university’s Strategic Enrolment Planning Council. He is also a member of the adjunct faculty, teaching in the faculties of Religious Studies, and Organizational Management.
Sheldon is a happy family man whose three children provide a source of rich blessing and humour. He enjoys jogging, novels, classic movies, and the self-admittedly poorly executed telling of humorous stories.
